Moot Court

At Mahatma Law College, we are proud to have a fully furnished Moot Court. We also hold Moot Court Competition to develop the skill of advocacy among students and to train them well in arguments. A selection round is conducted by our Moot Court Committee to train the students and selected candidates participate in several Moot Court Competitions held at the national and international levels. Our Moot Court Hall also conducts client counseling sessions and Mock Trials to develop the skills of advocacy among students.

Our students have participated in several Moot Court Competitions and won a lot of titles like Best Mooter, Best Advocate, etc. Our college also conducts competitions at the national level so our students can participate. The cash prizes are awarded to the winners and the candidates are judged by High Court judges.

What is Moot Court?

A student should be well versed in applying the law to a situation and be aware of the manners and rules of the court to become a competent lawyer. Moot Court is like a lab for law students where they can test their theoretical skills in real life. At our Moot Court, we have state-of-the-art projectors to conduct live sessions so the physical presence of judges is not required to conduct competitions.

In addition, our moot court is multi-functional as the same room can also be used for seminars and legal webinars. There is also a provision to record moot court proceedings. We have several screens and HD projectors to combine the field of law with digital technology. Mooting is considered to be an important activity for students at Mahatma Law College.
